Dr. Larry Baker

 DVM, FAVD, DAVDC

Dr. Baker graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1969. He practiced in Little Rock, Arkansas, for one year. In 1970 he returned to the Decatur area and built Northgate Pet Clinic. In 2024 Dr. Baker opened Midwest Veterinary Dentistry to focus on dental procedures. Dr. Baker is a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and one of 230 board certified veterinary dentists in the world today. His daughter, Dr. Julie Voelker is in a residency program to become board-certified also.

Dr. Voelker graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.  She joined a local pet clinic and practiced general medicine for ten years.  While there she developed a love and interest in veterinary dentistry.  Dr. Voelker is currently in her second year of pursuing a Specialist Degree in Veterinary Dentistry from the American Veterinary Dental College.
